Well... it's Friday.

And I'm home, shoes off, feet up... TV on.

I have the prospect of heading up to the sorting office tomorrow morning to collect some parcel deliveries. Not a task I'm envying doing considering it's supposed to be pissing down with rain, but it's got to get done, and then it's back home in time for the Ocado man coming at 1pm.

My life is full of such joys.

But there is light at the end of the tunnel. One shimmer of light in my otherwise dull weekend....

Yup. It's back. 7pm Sunday evening.

I think you can guess what I'll be doing on Sunday evening.

But that's this weekend. What did I do last weekend? Or throughout the week? If you want to know.... read on.

Sat/Sunday
Feck all.

That about sums it up.

Monday
I slept in.

Not only did I sleep in, when I woke up I had no idea what day it was.... it must have been my hectic weekend. *coughs*

I manage to get into work just in time for my 1st meeting, and then proceed to spend the rest of my day in meetings till I went home. Another quiet night in alone for me.

Tuesday
The day progressed much as the previous day... however, there was one element of excitement. After I'd come out of the toliet, (I know, you really needed to know that) I could swear I smelt burning.

Hmmm... dodgy. Now we have these damn fire alarms going off all the time and it's always false alarms but could this be real?

I grab Karen and ask her to see if she can also smell it.

Yup. Bingo! There's a definate smell of burning.

Could the building be burning down?

So I go phone building services like the good civil servant I am to inform them I can smell burning..... Don't Panic!

Turns out it was the work the services were doing on the liftshaft. But Karen and I weren't taking any chances, and left the building for a swift drink down the Whitehorse. Well, that was the intention... 6hrs later and several glasses of wine, I stagger home.

Wednesday
Ouchies

Not only am I hungover, I managed to aquire a painful UDI from the evening before.

I crawl through the day..... have a craving for some lardy food at lunchtime and treat myself to a Haddock and Chips

From the Laughing Halibut on Strutton Ground

.Get through the rest of the day and crawl back home to bed. Very early night for me.

Thursday
Woke up feeling more human today, but the cold icey grip of depression is tugging away at me.

I make it through the day, getting through all the various bits of paper work and it's off to meet Jim and Joe;

Yup, the Glasgow boys.

Both of them turned up late in Chandos

But it's not long before we are back into our old ways and chewin the fat.

A few more beers are sunk and it's time to go for a Ruby, in what can only be described as the worlds smallest Indian... there's barely any room to move, let alone sit down! But hunger has gotten the better of us and we munch down, drink...eat...chat...then depart our seperate ways.

I get home, log onto SL but the depression is kicking in big time and I soon log off. A couple of more Vodka's then it's sleep.

Today
Head hurts.

Lager, Red Wine, Vodka... not a good mix. Not a good mix at all.

The day is survived, and now I'm home.
